Dancehall musician Shatta Wale has reacted to the Black Stars’ World Cup defeat against Colombia, claiming he predicted the negative outcome well before kickoff.
Taking to his social media platforms shortly after the match on July 4, 2026, the artist revealed that he had already foreseen the loss and discussed it with his wife.
According to Shatta Wale, the blame for Ghana’s defeat lies squarely on the technical team's decision to start goalkeeper Lawrence Ati Zigi over Benjamin Asare. The musician argued that it made no sense to bench Asare, who he believes performs better than Ati Zigi.
Shatta Wale shared that as soon as the official lineup against Colombia was released, he knew the team would struggle.
"I told my wife that if it’s that goalkeeper dierr they will score us quick," the musician stated on his socials.
The artist's unfiltered commentary has since sparked widespread debate online, adding to the heavy post-match reactions from disappointed Ghanaian football fans.
