On Saturday, 4th July 2026, the students of Kajaji Senior High School (Kajass, Anyansafor) organized a massive cleanup exercise to maintain a clean and healthy school environment. Armed with brooms, rakes, scrubbing brushes, and cutlasses, the students thoroughly cleaned the classrooms, dormitories, offices, and the general compound.
The various dormitory house parents supervised the activity, praising the students for their hard work and dedication. The cleanup exercise was not just about improving the school's appearance; it also aimed to promote good hygiene both inside and outside the school. Furthermore, it served as a spirited competition between the various houses.
The cleanup was led by the dedicated prefects in charge of the respective houses. In Betwor House, Makibe Joel led the effort, assisted by Iyahoo Joel. Effeda House was led by James Martin and assisted by Tamangya Paul. Gyabeal House was headed by Bright, alongside his assistant Mabi Abass Phillip. Finally, Gyinata House was led by Obour Ebenezer, assisted by Amoss.
Following the rigorous work on July 4th, the Headmaster of Kajaji Senior High School and his team conducted an inspection, touring the campus to grade each house based on their designated portions. The stakes were high, as the house with the lowest marks would be punished with extra tasks.
On Monday, 6th July, the records for each house were officially announced during the school assembly. Gyinata House took the first position! They were followed by Betwor House in second, Effeda House in third, and finally Gyabeal House in last place.
Following the results, Headmaster Mr. Daniel Kwadwo Manu, alongside Assistant Headmaster of Administration Mr. Akore Frimpong, and Assistant Headmaster of Academics Mr. Augestine Dampah Bazirizii, assigned additional work to all the students in Gyabeal House. This follows the established culture of the school, ensuring that all disciplinary work ultimately contributes to improving the campus.
Overall, the cleanup exercise greatly improved the appearance of the school, reminding everyone of the importance of good sanitation.
